I’m loving it so far.Pricing: From $10 per month Dabble can store and organize everything you need on hand as you craft your novelĭabble is a useful tool for authors to manage their work. And I like the fact that if at some point I decide to cancel, my account would remain read-only so I could access my work without having to reactivate my subscription. It addresses everything I need at this point to write. But I will, for sure, subscribe to this service. I’ve been using Dabble for less than a week, so I’m still on the free 14-day trial. And, fortunately, Dabble has those features as well. I use the plotting tool, the notes section, and the chapters section. In the beginning, I was a little worried that I would lose all the features that my current writing tool had, but, to be honest, I don’t use half of them. I clicked on the link and read through the website, it appeared to be a lighter version of Scrivener that ran on the cloud so I could access it from any device. It was one of those dull days when I didn’t want to write or do anything special, so I googled for a better way to transfer my manuscript from Mac to Windows, I found a cloud-based writing tool called Dabble. But, my obsessive nature commanded me to find a better solution for the future. When I think about it, for the past five weeks, I’ve been home 90% of the time, so this shouldn’t be an issue for me right now. Which, needless to say, was quite annoying. And, of course, there is no way to use it on a Chromebook or a phone.Īt some point, I gave up and started writing on a Google Doc from the device I had at hand at any given time and then, when I opened Scrivener on my Mac, I would copy whatever I wrote on my document. Scrivener’s latest version is only available for macOS so, even though I purchased the bundle with a license both Operating Systems, if I want to load my manuscript on Windows, it doesn’t work. So, as you can see, I use more than one OS, and that can be challenging. Sometimes I write on a Macbook, other times on a Windows computer, from time to time on a Chromebook, and, if I’m away from any other electronic, I do it on my Android phone. My main problem with Scrivener is that it only works properly on macOSĭepending on where I am, I use different devices to write. ![]() I just want to share this software that I really liked, and I believe it’ll help you and me organizing our manuscripts. ![]() However, it only works fantastically IF you write on Mac (and this is a big if, as you already know because I used caps in bold).īefore I continue, I want to mention that I’m not affiliated with Dabble in any way. Not because it’s an inadequate tool, on the contrary, it’s a fantastic tool for writing. For the last few months, I’ve been using Scrivener and, to be honest, I’ve been struggling with it. This past week I decided to give Dabble a chance and started using it for my writing. ![]()
